Goals
- TCP/IP programming using BSD sockets
- Writing client-server applications using UDP and TCP sockets.
- Handling multiple concurrent clients
- Using Remote Procedure Calls
Outside Assignments
There will be 3 to 6 outside assignments.
Outside assignments will be team programming projects with teams
assigned by me.
The projects will vary in weight from 20 to 40 points depending
on the level of difficulty.
Each assignment will be due at the start of the class period of the due date.
Assignments will not be accepted late except for unusual circumstances,
such as documented illness or university travel.
Tests and Classwork
There will be 3 tests which will not be comprehensive.
Each test will be worth 200 points.
There may be several unannounced
in-class assignments or quizzes worth 10 points each.
Drop Deadline
The deadline for dropping without academic penalty is Tuesday, February 23.
